My survival story
Outlaster
You wake up on a remote island beach. You remembered what happened when you were in a huge storm in your boat. Lucky before you had to abandon ship you grabbed the survival kit. ( with snacks, 3 dishes/ bowls, water, axe, emergency blanket, blow up pillow and mattress.)
Day 1
You lay there for a while looking at the surroundings and decide it is time to make a shelter. You cut down 10 coconut trees to get some wood, coconuts for some more food and coconut milk. You start to build supports and cut a few logs in half to make the walls. When you were having a bigger look around the island you found a lot of flax that is thick, wide and long. You thought about how you had no roof and took 15 pieces back. Once you were done with your shelter you decorated it. After you had a 2 hour nap, you wanted to get home soon so you made a SOS shelter with the remaining wood. And also wrote SOS on the beach. You made a small Teepee with a fire inside. At around 5:00 you were getting thirsty. You knew those 3 water bottles would not last forever so you went back to the beach and that had shallow, beautiful water. You cut down 3 more trees, and made a big box of wood. You have 5 leaves left, so you put it on top of the box. You wait 2 hours and you come back now you have a warm bath. Because the tropical shallow clear water heats up under the leaves and you hop in and then you get clean and warm. When your ears heard fast water you walked over there to find a fast river. It had fresh water so you remembered how to get there and went back to the shelter.
Day 2
The next day you wake up to look outside and see strange footprints. So after investigating the footprints you follow them to a burrow. You look inside with a little white puppy inside. You wait there silently while you wait for the puppy to come to you. ½ an hour later it came out, the burrow was close to your camp. The tiny puppy was abandoned and only looked 5 months old. So you decide to keep it, feed it and share fresh water. 2 hours later after you feed it, play with it and give it water, you decide to name it. You checked it’s gender and it was a boy. 1 hour of thinking and laying with the puppy on your blow up mattress and your warm blanket. An idea popped into your head Eddie. The cold dog was shivering so you brought it under your warm blanket near your warm body. Soon Eddie fell asleep. A storm came with big thunder. Eddie instantly woke up and was whining. It wanted to go to the toilet outside but the storm was so big and scary it did not want to, so then you thought of a big corner in the side of your shelter. There were enough materials to make a toilet. You start by digging a big hole. The thick and wide wood could make the part where Ed could stand and you could sit. By the time you were done the storm was almost done Eddie went to the toilet. And after that it was so sunny you couldn't see where the storm went.
Day 3
Your stomach rumbles you need food. You check your bag but no food. Eddie is also hungry so you can't just not eat. You take your little puppy to your coconut trees, in the last few days you were cutting down your coconut trees. We only have 10 coconut trees left. You take 3 of the coconut tree's coconuts and plant them to have more coconut trees. You take a few coconuts from 2 trees for food, you share the coconut shavings and the water with Ed. You thought that that was not a very balanced diet. You've been having no protein. There’s lots of fish at the beach near your bath. Next to the bath you could make a fish net. But you do not have a net. You thought about what you could use. Then you thought about flax, so for the next 1 hour you sat weaving the flax while Eddie played on the beach. When you finished you found some old nails and a hammer. You hammer the wood to the sides of the net. Once you finished you put it in the water and waited. The fish was so tired it swam straight into the net, you had your first catch. You put a stick through the fish and cook it. The fire back at your hut cooked the fish to the perfect cookedness. It was not raw but it was not burnt. You cut off some for Eddie, he starts to nibble away while you enjoy yours! That night you start to star gaze, when Eddie is asleep. You start to drift away to sleep too.
Day 4
You think that you have been working hard and decide that it is time to treat yourself. You wanted to go swimming in the tropical ocean where the coral reef is. When you were swimming you felt like someone or something was watching you. You decided to go back on the shore. In the corner of your eye you see glowing eyes, and puffy fur. You follow the eyes and see a cute little black puppy. It scratches you so you wait for it to come to you. Some time later it did not come, so you went home. What you did not know was that it was following you. Soon you knew it was with you it jumped onto you and you called it Lulu because it’s a girl. Once the dogs were friends, and they were asleep you snuck out. On a hill there were a couple of fruit trees, nut trees, berry bushes and wild rice. For the fruit there were: bananas, apples and a grape vine. There were four types of nuts: walnuts, chestnuts, hazelnuts and peanuts. For the berrys there were: black berrys, blueberries, raspberries, cranberries, currant, gooseberries and wild strawberries. And do not forget rice, you can wash it then boil it and have a balanced diet. You picked 2 of each thing, because then they will go bad if you pick them all at once. Now you do not need to worry about food.
Day 5
You put more wood in your SOS smoke signal. And added shiny metal to the sos on the beach to hope the sun's rays could reflect. You see grey clouds that are a thunderstorm about 2 hours away. You quickly go to the hill and pick 5 more of everything. You go back to camp to put the food away and grab your water bottles to fill up quickly. Once you did that you dug out the burrow lots and made a bunker. You made a small door and moved everything inside. By the time the storm was here you made a little hole in the side, put wood in and lit it. You had a mini fire. Your blow up mattress was by the door. You also had your puppies and emergency blanket and blow up pillow. You made a small hole under your mattress and put the food and water down there, covered it in some planks and put the mattress back over the top. You opened the door to let smoke out and found that your old shelter was wrecked. Once the storm passed you made a little hole above the fire and put 4 sticks around the corners and put a little plank of wood on the 4 sticks. Now the smoke can exit your new home. You take your dogs to the beach where you give them a bath and get fish out of the net. When you get back you put a little stick in the mud above the fire to cook your meat (fish, and sometimes you put a dish under it and put berries on the stick to get berry juice).
Day 6
Today you heard a buzzing sound on the beach like a helicopter. You took some food, water, puppies, blow up mattress and pillow(you took the air out of them.) and emergency blanket as well as a fish you had cooked the previous night. You went to the cold beach to find a rescue helicopter that were finding you. They said they were here to take you home. Luckily they let you take your new pet’s, food, water, blow up mattress and pillow and emergency blanket as well as a fish you had cooked the previous night. When you got home your family was so happy to see you today, and now that you were safe, they threw a big welcome back and we are happy you survived and got new friends party. And you lived happily ever after.
